Frequently asked questions about the check-up

Early clarification of symptoms or risk factors is the key to long-term heart health. Our cardiology practice in Düsseldorf offers you the right specialized care for every need.

Allow about 60 to 90 minutes for an initial examination, including all basic examinations and the consultation with PD Dr. Bruno.

For the blood test, it is ideal if you arrive fasting (at least 8-10 hours without food). Water and unsweetened tea are permitted.

Private health insurance companies and state aid offices generally cover the costs of a medically justified check-up in full.

If there are any abnormal findings, PD Dr. Bruno will immediately discuss the next steps with you - be it medication or further diagnostics (e.g. MRI or CT).

From the age of 40, we recommend a check-up every 2 years - even if there are no symptoms. If risk factors are present, annually.

Yes, a normal check-up will not affect your everyday activities. You should only recover briefly after a very intensive stress test.
